04.06.08: I have re-designed the viewing of Switcheroony, because of how large the story has grown. Please see the major link button above and then the buttons to the left for Chapter breakdowns.

I have also added to the Story intro my Ink Drawing of the wiffy duo, based on a wondeful photo manipulation that i came across an eon ago (not mine i'm afraid and regrettably much as i would like to credit the creator, i can't recall who it was) .

19.08.07: I would like to take this opportunity to Sincerely Thank, whichever of our wonderful readers it was, that nominated Switcheroony for Best Slash & Best Unfinished Fanfiction in this round of the ‘Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards’. Voting Ends on the 25th August 2007: http://sunnydawards.dragonydreams.com/vote.html

22.06.07: "Dear readers, My sincere thanks for your support of my nomination as Best Beta in the SunnyD  awards. I was thrilled to have been nominated and simply stunned that I won. But my real prize is working with two wonderful writers like Alicorn and Dragonwriter17.  And, of course, hoping that you all enjoy our efforts. Although I like to stay in the background, I thank Alicorn for letting me thank you all. Lilly [Lil]"20.04.07: I am pleased to announce that 'Lilly' the Treasure has been nominated for the Best Beta Award in round 10 of the  Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards! Wish i'd thought of it, as i know i would be lost without her. Please use the following links to vote for her and thereby let her know how much her hard work and commitment is appreciated.

20.01.07: Regrettably due to Yule Tide celebrations, obligations and the storms that have caused power cuts in the UK, I have been aunable to communicate with my beta, our updates to Switcheroony have therefore been delayed. Please accept my apologies to you all, for any concern this may have caused you. Be assured we do intend to finish this story and then write much much more.

Yours Gratefully

Thoughts

I sat down one day in a quiet moment (of which there are few these days) and thought about how much I really enjoyed first watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and how I wished I could rewatch the whole thing with that once anticipation, innoscence and joy. That's how I know I felt when the series ended. I used to be heady with excitement as the television announcer introduced a new episode, eager to rejoin the characters, the tapestry and world that Joss Whedon had created.

I love rewatching each and every episode, but I eventually found myself fastforwarding to my favourite moments and episodes, something I could never have done when first watching them. Why because I know whats going to happen, what will be said, which look will pass between whom.  The charm will always remain, the word pleasure, the plots and laughter. But the not knowing...

Then I discovered fanfiction, oh my goodness, what an eye opener that was, specifically Femslash. A whole new world of anticipation and joy opened to me. My favourite characters were alive and kicking in the sweet and sometimes wicked corners of other fans minds. I drank deeply of the great, the good and the so so, until I noticed with frustration that some of my favourite parings were becoming harder and harder to find.

One day an unfamiliar bravery attacked, with far more force than usual, fighting against my nerves, my fear and calling for the ideas I had stored away, like every other reader, to be written up someday, when no one was looking, by someone far more articulate and eloquent than I.

It proved to be the best battle I ever lost. Suffice it to say I began to write my first fanfiction. Now I can't seem to stop myself, as on occasion the strong and wonderful characters I borrowed take on a life of thier own and I regain that eager anticipation and joy of not knowing what will happen next.

I hope you feel the same way as I do about Fanfiction, that it lets us explore our world via the wonderfully magical Joss world of dynamic, strong and very human characters. We admire and identify with these men and women. They allow us to delve into the corners of thier minds as only the written word allows to reveale all that we as human beings are capable of.

So if your mind holds a box and locked within it sit a thousand ideas, one day you may hear unfamiliar bravery knocking at your door, don't fight too hard...

Enjoy your visit.
